Positions Available
Psychologist / Psychological Associate
- Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
- $45-130 per hour
- Hybrid remote in Barrie, ON
We are seeking a psychologist or psychological associate to join our team. We will also consider a masters level graduate seeking to begin or who is involved in the four years of experience required to register with the CPO as a Psychological Associate. In this role you will primarily serve children and adolescents. The focus of this position will be on providing comprehensive assessments but there will also be opportunity for intervention work if you would like that. Good writing skills are important.

The pay range goes from $45 to $130 per hour depending on level of training and amount of experience. You must be able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week. You have at least a masters degree in psychology and are heading toward registration with the College of Psychologist of Ontario (CPO). You do not have to be registered with the CPO yet.
Smith Psychological has been serving the mental health needs of Barrie and Simcoe County for 25 years. Over that time, we have had the privilege of developing a good reputation and strong referral base. We work collaboratively with primary care physicians, specialists, and partners in education and the community. Our mission is to offer the most effective, appropriate and therapeutic service to all who seek our assistance. We provide psychological services to children, adolescents and adults. Approximately seventy percent of our clients are children and adolescents and thirty percent adults.

Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Psychologist
- Part-time, Permanent
- $75 – $115 per hour
- Hybrid remote in Barrie, ON
We are seeking a clinician to provide individual counselling and psychotherapy primarily for children, adolescents and consultation to parents. Preferably you will have at least three years of relevant experience with these client groups. There is also the option to provide small group therapy (six clients or less). If you have the training and experience to provide couples therapy that would be an asset. You are registered with a regulated health college that allows you to provide counselling and/or psychotherapy.
You will be expected to conduct initial assessments for treatment, plan the therapy, and carry out both brief and longer-term therapy. Also, you will manage your cases effectively and maintain all required documentation and therapy records. We receive referrals for a very broad range of conditions or difficulties. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, panic, ADHD, social difficulties, coping with stress, bullying, emotion and self-regulation, self-esteem, suicidality, and self-harm.

The work hours associated with this position primarily involve evenings (after 5:30pm), and weekends. There may also be some daytime hours Monday to Friday if you wish depending on office availability.
